John joined PSM in 2013 to with assist scouting, developing
& nurturing young players

• Professional footballer from the age of 22 after being
  a post man he joined third division Swansea City
• Within 2 years of playing his first professional game he
  was playing for Coventry City in the newly formed
  Premier League
• Played at all levels for 19 years including the Premiership
• John played over 450 games and scored 71 goals at 22 clubs
• Won the ‘Rumbelows Sprint Challenge’ at Wembley in 1992.
  Crowning him the fastest footballer in England earning him the
  nickname ‘The Flying Postman’
• John has been a youth and community worker in
  Birmingham since he hung up his boots
