FC Copenhagen are relishing their time in the Champions League group stages. Having played against Portuguese club Porto in mid September and earned themselves a point away from home they needed to put in a performance against Club Brugge on home turf.
The first half ended goalless but within ten minutes of the second half FCK went 1 – 0 up with an own goal from Deswill. FCK went from strength to strength and went on to dominate the game. Thomas Delaney scored a superb goal which is arguably his best career goals to date; a perfect left footed volley flying into Ludovic Butelle’s top left corner. This was followed shortly with a further goal for FCK from Santander.
The game was concluded with yet another FCK goal, this time from Mathias Jorgensen who found the back of the net 2 minutes into added time.
The 4 – 0 win secured FC Copenhagen 3 points and a great boost to team confidence as they next face Leicester City FC away in their Champions League journey.
