JOSHUA COOKE SIGNS PRO

4 May 2015

Josh has signed his first pro deal with Swindon Town keeping him there for a further 12 months. He made his first team debut against Preston on 25 April 2015  and then went onto make his full first team debut at home against Leyton Orient on 3 May 2015.

Swindon Town youth team manager, Scott Lindsey, feels that Josh will be able to slot seamlessly into life in the Robins’ first-team squad. Lindsey also stated  “Josh is an out and out centre-forward. He’s a big, strong, powerful boy. He links the play well, holds the ball up and I think he’s got 16 in 36 for me this season. It’s a good return of goals for games and he’s somebody who has a great attitude, works extremely hard and is a good kid to work with”.

Mentor, John Williams, has been extremely pleased with Josh this season and will continue to work closely with him and help him to develop further as a player and prepare him for his professional football career that lies ahead.

If Josh continues to listen and develop as he has done over the last 12 months then he will have a promising future ahead of him.
