The Danish Cup has been contested since 1955 and Silkeborg IF have lifted the Cup for the second time in history.
Silkeborg beat Aarhus 1 – 0 at the Parker Stadium in Copenhagen with the biggest crowd in attendance for a cup final since 2004.
Danish defender, Joel Felix, has played an outstanding part in the journey leading up to the cup final since his return from injury in March. Felix was a part of the team who kept a clean sheet in 3 cup games and only conceded 1 goal in the game against Fredericia which Silkeborg comfortably won 6-1.
The 2024 Cup winners, SIF, last won the Danish Cup in 2001 when they beat AB 4-1 in the final and were runners up in 2018 against Brondby.
Congratulations to Silkeborg for this great achievement and the addition to their trophy cabinet!
