Oli Hammond, Oldham Athletic midfielder, received another international call-up to represent Wales U21s during last night in the October international break.
The 21 year old has made over 10 appearances for The Young Dragons and played an integral part during their Euro qualification group stage.
The Welsh u21s travelled away from home to face Slovakia in a friendly and Oli opened the scoreline with a cracking goal in the 14th minute. Slovakia found their feet and took the lead with two goals before the half time. The battle continued in the second half with goals from both sides but a strong Slovakian side took the scoreline to 4-2.
This was Oli’s second international goal for the U21 side and with that under his belt we are looking forward to seeing his domestic season unfold with Oldham Athletic.
