Oli Hammond, 18, made his debut performance for Nottingham Forest last night in the EFL Cup.
Forest played a young team against a strong experienced visiting side from Wolverhampton Wanders. Despite holding Wolves to 0-0 for 60 minutes the visitors took the lead and their place in the next cup stage.
Despite playing against top class opposition, Oli took on the challenge and he worked extremely hard on the pitch. He took up some great positions and came close to scoring. He made some good interceptions, had excellent pass accuracy with good vision, made excellent runs and was defensively sound. He certainly did himself proud with his first appearance he can can hold his head up high.
Oli can take many positives away from the game which he can build on and use to further develop himself as he continues to work hard with both the U23s and first team. Well done Oli!
