Neil Warnock was overwhelmed by the performance of Danish striker Kenneth Zohore and has belief that he will be an integral part of the Cardiff team moving forwards.
During an interview the Cardiff manager said “He’s been super. That’s two games now. He was treading water at the end but I didn’t want to take him off. Now he’s got a couple of days on his ice packs and stuff, he can start training again on Tuesday/Wednesday because he’s got to start lasting 90 minutes. He’s been a massive plus for us because I’m looking to spend decent money on a striker in January, and I can’t buy anybody better than him at the minute. He’ll get better when he gets fitter. He knows now that he can do that every week, and that’s what you need from a striker.”
Zohore moved to Cardiff in January on loan and signed a deal with the Bluebirds in the summer keeping him there until the summer of 2019. He has struggled with game time so far this season but it would appear that he is on the verge now of playing a huge part in the remainder of Cardiff’s season. He has speed, strength and a great eye for goal which Neil expects to see a lot more of over the next few months.
