MATHIAS ZANKA JORGENSEN SIGNS FOR PSV EINDHOVEN
22nd February 2012
Mathias Zanka Jorgensen signs a 4 year deal with PSV Eindhoven.
After putting pen to paper on a contract that will commence in summer of 2012 the Danish stopper said “this feels just perfect”
PSV have been interested in signing Zanka for a long time. Their interest has been unabated and Zanka is really excited about the challenges that lie ahead, but he admits it will be difficult for him to say goodbye to everyone at FC Copenhagen and to the city where he was born and raised.
Interest from other clubs
It’s no secret that PSV were in discussions in the summer of 2011. Sporting Director Marcel Brands was very clear on the objectives for the football club and also their plan for Zanka. In spite of considerable interest from other top level clubs in all the major leagues of Europe this was the move that felt right for Mathias. Their ideas were the same as his.
Its now time for Zanka to get himself fully fit so that he can say a proper goodbye to the FCK faithful and be ready to put his best foot forward with his new employers when his contract commences in July.
